Christin is a bilingual multimedia journalist based in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. She has more than six years of journalism experience reporting in newsrooms across West Africa, Washington, D.C. and Chicago with work published across digital media platforms for Associated Press, Voice of America, USA Today, the Christian Science Monitor, and Washington Times among others.
Though a professionally-trained journalist and videographer, Christin also has a rooted interest in international development, human rights, women's issues, education, health and technology. She has covered topics such as the skin bleaching community in Cote d'Ivoire, the fight against present-day slavery in Mali and the importance of family planning in Senegal.
Her work has been awarded several considerations including the 2016 International Women's Media Foundation Africa Great Lakes Fellowship and the 2014 Eric Lund International Reporting Grant. Christin is a proud alumna of Howard University in Washington, D.C. and Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
